More than 1 million antidrug booklets distributed by Scientologists in Cortina Olympics

Italy’s anti-drug education initiative has gone beyond more than one million informational booklets distributed in recent weeks. The initiative forms part of the international Truth About Drugs education programme, which aims to provide accessible knowledge about commonly abused substances and their short- and long-term effects.

Approximately 500 volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in public spaces, shops and community areas. The campaign focuses on Scientology raising awareness before drug use begins, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a simple way.

The prevention effort is part of wider social programmes supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
